What This Site Is

Feng Shui With Jackson is an independent publication about classical feng shui and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) lifestyle practice, written for readers in Western homes and apartments. "Jackson" is the editorial voice of the site. We are practitioners and students of these systems — not doctors, not fortune-tellers, and we won't pretend the classics promise guaranteed outcomes.

Our position is simple: feng shui is a centuries-old system of spatial design principles about light, flow, order and intention. Much of it overlaps with what good designers and organizers already know; some of it is cultural and symbolic. We tell you which is which.

Where Our Content Comes From

  • Classical frameworks, named explicitly. Articles are built on the Bagua (八卦) map, Five Elements (五行) theory, Flying Stars (玄空飞星) annual charts, and BaZi (八字) Four Pillars — and each article says which framework it is applying, so you can check our reasoning against any classical source.
  • Real calculation engines, not vibes. Our Daily Fortune, BaZi Calculator and Feng Shui Compass run genuine lunar-calendar and Four-Pillars computations in your browser. The daily almanac data (农历 dates, solar terms, auspicious activities) in our articles comes from the same offline calendrical calculations — never invented.
  • TCM content is educational. Food therapy, acupressure and seasonal wellness articles describe the traditional framework with sources of confusion flagged. They are not medical advice, and articles on techniques like moxibustion carry safety contraindications. See our full disclaimer.

Editorial Standards

Specific over vague

We publish concrete placements, directions, quantities and steps you can act on — not "harmonize your energy" filler.

Honest labeling

Traditional beliefs are presented as tradition, design principles as design. Affiliate links are marked, disclosed, and never dressed up as editorial picks we don't stand behind.

We correct ourselves

When we find errors we fix them site-wide. Most recently: our 2026 annual Flying Star chart was corrected against multiple classical calculation sources, across every article that cited it.

What We Cover

  • Room-by-room feng shui: bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, entryway, home office — 300+ in-depth guides
  • Wealth & career applications: wealth corner, desk placement, annual star charts
  • Seasonal living: a full calendar of solar-term (节气) guides pairing feng shui adjustments with TCM seasonal practice
  • Chinese wellness: food therapy, tea, acupressure, qigong — the lifestyle layer around the spatial practice
